Made to order; 4-6 weeks.

For the longest time, my most cherished piece of jewelry was a cinnabar bracelet replete with intricate carvings. I can't remember its provenance, but I've managed not to lose it after all these years. When my husband and I toured Vietnam and the site of my father's helicopter crash (KIA 1967), we found war memorials everywhere, as you might expect - after all, they won the war. One of the most moving monuments was the one I call Cinnabar. It is an enormous block of red covered with carvings of the exploits of the North Vietnamese military - of particular interest is the soldier holding his two young children - the kids could be me and my siblings. Everyone lost in this war, but mainly the children.

This is a limited edition of 15, silk twill scarf.

Size is approximately 36 x 36 inches.

Due to the handcrafted process and inherent nature of the materials used, slight variations in color might be visible from the listed photos. A "story card" accompanies each scarf.
