My mom lives one mile from the Gulf of Mexico – my favorite body of water. When I visit, I walk to and fro almost every day. And every day, newer or brighter or sunnier fronds seem to bloom. Maybe they’ve been there always, but in looking around, so much seems fresh from day to day. Many of the fronds are tinged with varying shades of purple. This could be why my latest obsession with color combinations is green and purple; I look over at a pile of clothes waiting to be packed for my next trip south and guess what? Green and purple – just like this image – and I smile.
