Berlin has so much beauty and color. What a change from the first time I visited Berlin in 1962, when Berliners were still getting used to being in a divided city. The wall loomed over the city as a group of young Girl Scouts tried to fathom a part of military history we didn't yet understand. This image was taken near a portion of the now-destroyed Wall. The blue and green tiles separated by the "nature" of ivy and "twisted" by time, remind me of the beauty that can heal division and that stories from times gone by live forever.
