War and Nature: March at Tacloban Silk Story Scarf, Wearable Art

Sale Price:$105.00 Original Price:$175.00
sale

2 currently in inventory.

This limited edition, silk twill scarf, is a photomontage of a photograph from the annual Bataan Memorial Death March at White Sands NM, overlaid by a vintage postcard from the Philippine Islands. Part of my family history is the story of my grandfather, Zero Wilson, who survived the Bataan Death March in WWII. The resiliency of the men who marched in the original Death March and survived, overlays my experience of the landscape in White Sands.

This is a limited edition of 15, silk twill scarf.

Size is approximately 26 x 52 inches.

Due to the handcrafted process and inherent nature of the materials used, slight variations in color might be visible from the listed photos. A "story card" accompanies each scarf.
