War and Nature: Post War Fruit Market

Sale Price:$90.00 Original Price:$150.00
sold out

0 remaining in edition.

This limited edition, silk twill scarf, is a collage constructed from a vintage book page and photograph of post-war Philippines. Part of my family military history is the story of my grandfather, Zero Wilson, who survived the Bataan Death March in WWII, and started a theatre and orchestra in a prisoner of war camp. I love old images of the Philippines and other islands in the Western Pacific Ocean. Their color and calmness belies the horrific battles that took place there over the course of WWII.

This is a limited edition of 15, silk twill scarf.

Size is approximately 36 x 36 inches.

Due to the handcrafted process and inherent nature of the materials used, slight variations in color might be visible from the listed photos. A "story card" accompanies each scarf.
